Peter Kim, MD, is the founder and managing partner of Gotham Gastroenterology, with locations in the Midtown East and Financial District neighborhoods of Manhattan, New York City, and Brooklyn Heights in Brooklyn, New York. He is an Attending Physician at NYU Langone Medical Center and Lenox Hill Hospital and is involved in the teaching of gastroenterology fellows. He is board-certified in gastroenterology.
Dr. Kim received his Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University and his medical degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Lenox Hill Hospital, and was selected as chief medical resident. He also completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at Lenox Hill Hospital. He was the recipient of the prestigious John O. Vieta Award and also received the Department of Medicine Award for Academic Excellence.
Dr. Kim is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, the Medical Society of the State of New York and the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.
